The Joplin Disc Golf Club is a Missouri Non-Profit Organization dedicated to promoting disc golf to the local 4-States community and helping provide & maintain clean, safe parks through this family-friendly sport. Over the last two years, our organization has held free community events to teach individuals and families about the sport of disc golf along with hosting benefit tournaments for Soul's Harbor of Joplin in which we were able to raise $1,800 and 400 lbs. of food for this charity.

Our annual Four States Open tournament is THE marquee disc golf event in the Four States area with average annual attendance of over 100 players from all over the Central United States, with the majority from the Four States area. In 2010, we had 93 players for our B-Tier 5th Annual event. This year the JDGC will make the 6th Annual an even bigger B-Tier event, which will draw players and spectators from a larger area than we ever have in the past. We are making this a 2-day event which adds at least one overnight stay in Joplin for many of the participants. We are also adding more money to the players payouts, & providing Saturday evening entertainment in Downtown Joplin. The JDGC is also partnering with the Joplin CVB & the Joplin P&R department for an even larger advertising reach to increase visibility for this event.

Our sponsors for this event stand to benefit in many ways. Last year we implemented a Sponsor Benefit for all disc golfers that rewarded any disc golfer with free or discounted merchandise through our club for paid receipts showing business transactions with any of our 2010 Sponsors. Tee signs placed at McClelland Park will be up for one full year from September to September, showing the rather extensive disc golf community who our supporters are. Additionally, our club monthly meetings are held at the location of one of our prior year's sponsors. The JDGC is firmly committed to giving back to our sponsors and the community that supports disc golf as richly as ours does.

The deadline for us to get logos on the discs and shirts and to get tee signs printed up is approximately 4-6 weeks before the event. Checks should be made payable to Joplin Disc Golf Club.
